Marco Bernet grew up in Gommiswald (SG), Switzerland, and received both his Bachelor and Master degree in Materials Science from the ETH Zürich, Switzerland. Currently he is carring out his PhD thesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Markus Bambach, investigating a novel powder additive manufacturing process for the production of 3D engineered binary metal structures by combining a selective powder deposition process and Spark Plasma Sintering.
